Tour Overview

Deo Tibba base camp trek starts from Prini, 4 kms from Manali, a zigzag trail to the first campsite at Saten. This village was settled by the migrated shepherds from Spiti, today live in the valley. While trekking in the lap of west side of Deo Tibba in summers you will cross the fields of wild flowers in abundance, the thick forest of Oak and Cedar while Rhododendron and Jenifer bushes can be seen at higher altitude. Short glacier walk to reach the Raulikholi provides the breath taking view of valley and the surrounding Himalayan peaks, whereas the shepherds can be seen in the spring and autumn. Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek takes you through one of the most breathtakingly beautiful parts of the India.

DAY 1:- Delhi to Manali (2000 m) 570 kms16 hours by night tourist bus

Transfer to the bus station by evening and over night journey on a bus. Bus details will be shared on the date of journey.

DAY 2: Manali

Reach Manali by morning, check in the hotel, and by walk visit Manu Temple – old Manali, Hadimba temple, Shiva temple and Tibetan Monastery in the town, the main attraction of Manali. Free by the afternoon to stroll in the market, night in the hotel.

Day 3: Manali/Prini-Ponduropa/Setan (2700 m) 4 hours; Trek 1

After breakfast drive to Prini village, the path leads through the Village by a zigzag trail to the valley floor and offers an extensive view. Reach Khangpa village of Saten, the people of Khangpa community have migrated from Spiti (Tibet in the olden time). They still move as nomads of Chang-Thang till now.

Ascend —700 Mtrs.

Day 4: Panduropa/Setan-Chhika (3000m) 4 hours; Trek 2

Trek through breathtaking landscapes, the meadows surrounded by high mountain ranges just below the Hamta Pass, on a grassy slope. In an impressive surroundings, here the rocks assume wonderful colors. Chikka (the campsite) is followed by a River, Alain Nallah and its snout is Hamta Pass. Finally we reach Chikka.

Ascend —300 Mtrs

Day 5: Chhika-Marhi (3300m approx) 5 hours; Trek 3

During trekking cross a river to other side of the valley and get a beautiful view of Deo Tibba, Indrasan and Inderkilla, Hanuman Tibba (5930 Mts) and a group of summits around Beas Kund and also landscape of Bara Bhangal Region.

Ascend —300 Mtrs

Day 6: Marhi-Piyangniru (3900m apprx) 4 hours; Trek 4

The whole area is surrounded by high summits, hanging glacier, and massive moraine. This is true alpine zone that we are trekking in. Afternoon we spend time exploring the surroundings.

Ascend —600 Mtrs

Day 7: Piyangniru-Raurikhaudi (3300m) 5 hours; Trek

Trek gets little steeper in the beginning and after that, all the way descends down to Raurikhaudi. Local shepherds of Kullu Valley can be seen grazing their herds of sheep and goats.

Ascend ——-100 mtrs

Descend ——700 Mtrs

Day 8: Raurikhaudi – Jogidugh (3000m.via lamadugh/sorotu) 4 hours; Trek 6,

Jogidugh occupies a very famous place in the Hindu mythology, especially for the local hebitants of the Valley. Said to be a very holy place of Thakshag nag (the serpent god).

Ascend —– 50  Mtrs | Descend —350 Mtrs

Day 9: Jogidugh-Tilgan (2900m) 4hrs; Trek 7

Trek along the tree line goes little down to avoid the steep cliff and again little climb along the stream. After that, the trek goes in a horizontal way right up to the campsite at Tilgan. At Tilganone can have a tremendous view of the Manali valley, town and surrounding.

Descend —100 Mtrs

Day 10: Tilgam—Manali-via Bhanara (2300m) or Jagatsukh 4hrs; Trek 8

The scenic trail descends to Bhanara, there is an old temple of local God near the village and another historic cave (ARJUN GUFA) where the Pandavas are believed to have taken refuge during their exile. Get down to roadside and drive back to Manali. Descend —-900 Mtrs

DAY 11: Manali to Delhi 16 hours 570 km

Visit Vashisht Well known for its hot springs and temples of sage Vashisth and Lord Rama, which are the main attractions in the town; by Evening transfer to the bus station to board a bus to Delhi, night in the bus.

DAY 12: Arrive at Delhi and departure

Transfer to hotel, free visit in Delhi, evening transfer to international airport  for onward flight
